Yesterday and today we've been doing a brain teaser. This is the way I found out the answer and I also worked it out;

Today we have been doing another Samoan equation

 I think the answer is 6 on the one 18 on the 3 and 40 on the 5!
                                                    how i did the 3: 6+6+6= 18
                                                    how i did the 40: 6+6=12 12+6=18 18+6+6=30 +6+6= 40?
